Living in America....

Ok , Ok . I know that Alaska is IN America. For the 13 years I lived there I learned to do without. I learned to appreciate the little things , While living in the interior - I learned to live without electricity , phone and water- and I LOVED IT! Living on the Panhandle - I learned to live without some things like choices . Choices in stores , restaurants and such. But The friends I made was all worth the small inconveniences.
But today - I live in a city . In Arizona. For all the bad , there is a lot I am grateful for - TONS of choices , great winter weather , lots to do and most of all that Kati is here with me , enjoying the "benefits" of city life.
After a few months though - I'm already missing the great outdoors - so I will soak up some of the sun and easy livin while we're here , but........ I'm sure a sweet backwoods adventure is on the horizon for us!

One of the coolest things about where we live now - The bicycle routes can take you through awesome places ! This day was our first ride on the Canal Trail in Scottsdale - I can get to work in less miles and about the same drive time by taking one of two bike trails here .

Howdy Scottsdale

 

Hello Scottsdale !

Well , as it happens with us all the time - plans changed....again!

Taking some time to work at a shop in Arizona for a while . We are getting our inventory in order and have lots of neat stuff that we are working on.

Not sure if we will have a store front in AZ , but at the least we will set up at local events , swap meets etc.

If anyone knows of any trade events where unique , vintage , re purposed & recycled items would be appreciated in the greater Phoenix area - hit me up !

I am working on a few projects right now and will have a new "For Sale " link at the top of this page when they are ready to go.

 

And as always...Kati will be hoarding my old parts for some of her great jewelry made from recycled bicycle parts !

Change of plans....

After a long couple of months of travel , we are back in Vegas. Not sure how long yet . We are very anxious to get a shop going - been picking up goodies from all over the place ! I will try to update this blog more stay tuned - we have some sweet tricks up our sleeves and new projects should start getting pumped out soon ...

Made it to Ashland ! Been here about 3 weeks . I dig it for sure - nice weather great views - just a cool laid back little town . I started to think I was gonna stay here , but I've been communicating with some companies elsewhere about some jobs - looks like there might be some adventure coming up!

Well this is it - Kati and I hit the road !!

I am in Ashland Oregon right now , attending UBI and gaining more mechanical knowledge ! Looking for a job and a place between Ashland and Portland  right now - I expect my next shop will be awesome.....

Goodbye and Farewell Alaska....

Well today was my last day at a good job with good benefits and a great team . I head out knowing my position was filled with somebody that is going to take care of shit and I can go on to other interests.........

Well This is the tail end of about 6 years in Skagway and about 12 years in Alaska...

It's new to me...

I've been looking for a Surly Cross Check frame for a build , With the move out of Alaska - I could not justify it though ...Until I found this bike for sale - I'm gonna make a few changes , but I am very excited to add this to my collection.....

It's July !

Well with less than a month left here in town - I have not done any work on any projects - So , I will just start posting cool pics from my collection - I will be back to posting some really cool shit come August though ! So stay tuned... until then , enjoy.

Moving along with the old Uhaul..

Well - it has not and continues to not be easy to get this big bastard ready to go ..

Two fuel leaks , glow plugs not working , roof leak , transmission having massive issues , door handle broke off , tires with no miles left on them ,smoking like a chimney....

Just about all is fixed , Starts and runs great . Two of the six tires are done , glow plugs working perfect , transmission is better - but still needs some work , got a part on the way . New fuel lines where needed . The roof isn't leaking a drop anymore . Fresh filters and fluids - I will carry on - UBI in Ashland , OR is a few weeks away and I'm bound and determined to be there and then take this with all my motorcycles and tools on the next adventure....

Bucket List

Well , no new projects or builds . I am working hard on getting ready for the big move back down to the States and preparing for some adventure . I have been working in the shop - but not on anything worth taking pictures of..... I am crossing some last things off my Skagway bucket list though... Went camping last weekend in the Yukon & hung out in Dyea in the sun yesterday ....

Today , I'm gonna get a big ass pizza from the R.O
