This Shovelhead was The one I was buying . After taking my sweet ass time dealing with the seller - it sold . Blessing in diguise I guess - because I bought this one from the same seller and I really do dig it.

Maintenance is cheaper than repairs !
I've said it a million times , I'm sure. Maintenance is key to saving money in the long run . I just bought this truck and it is hurtin' ! It would not start easy - it ran like shit . After some routine maintenance - I found a broken wire causing the glow plugs to not work , the oil was like water and the transmission fluid was low causing some hard shifting . The worst thing I found was the fuel filter - take a look ....
I don't know when is was changed last , but $23 is a small price to pay considering this could put you on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck .
I work on a lot of old junk and no matter if its a bicycle , motorcycle , diesel truck or a toilet - maintenance is cheaper than a repair !
This stuff ain't that hard - if you don't know how to do it - look it up online !! If you still feel it's still beyond you , support a local shop and your ride will support you .
Stop spending hard earned money on something new and take care of the stuff you have . I find lots of good stuff at the dump simply because people do not take a few minutes to learn to fix a problem . You will feel rewarded with some new knowledge and working with your hands as well as have a few extra bucks for some beer.....

Bianchi Avenue
Well the old Bianchi Avenue is on the road . This frame has been hanging around the last three shops . Surprising too - there was nothing special about it . I've tossed lots of frames - but for some reason kept this .
Anway - I still need to find a 27" front rim and perhaps put some rear brakes on , but otherwise it rides sweet and gets me to work in a quick. With a 52 front and a 16 rear - I won't be climbing any hills - but its a flat ride from home to the liquor store - And this bike gets me there in record time .

I think I might keep this one around - I dont know why but I really like riding it.

Warm days , Choppers and Alaska
First ride out on the Ironhead today ! I've taken the Shovelhead out for a few short rides allready - but it was sweet to pull out my first love , charge the battey and fire her up . It looks like it's heading over to the Kenai to her new owner soon , so while I was giving it a once over - I could not help but take it around a bit . Sad to see it go - but theres other things brewing right now.

Bianchi Avenue
Well , my Raleigh build is a no go for now . Some frame issues and the fact that it is a little to big is gonna push it to the back burner - Since I allready had a bunch of parts for it - I decided to yank this old Bianchi frame out of storage - should be able to get close to done today - the rest of the parts will be in by next week .
